When I saw the film Ellen Von Unwerth’s work and the styling of numerous runway shows immediately came to mind. Lolita as executed in the Kubrick film brings to mind Spring time. She represents that fleeting, nubile, youthful, and pretty beauty that happens just once in a life and for a brief moment – just like that first bloom of Spring.
