The Saturday Body Beautiful Series rolls on with a recipe for a delicious breakfast, that will add color and fruity flavor to your morning. This shake is great pre, post, or without workout and takes only a few minutes to prepare. Do yourself a favor and pour it into a clear glass and garnish with a piece of fresh fruit as above. It may seem like extra work, but we really do eat with our eyes – it actually “tastes” even better this way.. Plus, a tiny adjustment in presentation can make what feels like a “disciplined” meal seem indulgent.
1/2 cup organic vanilla yogurt (either dairy, soy, or coconut based – which ever suits you best)
1/4 a banana
4 oz. coconut water
1 table spoon flax seeds
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (either vegan or whey – which ever suits you best)
Put ingredients in a blender and pulse until it is your desired consistency.
